I have to share the greatest things that have happened to me in this past year!!!!

Wow, how time flies.  This past year has gone by so quickly.  I have gotten a new Daughter-in-law, and my new granddaughter.  I've also been so blessed with soon to be 4 year old granddaughter.  We are expecting that she will become a permanent part of our family within a year or so.

First let me share about my new DIL.  She is the most amazing, caring and beautiful young lady.  The day my youngest son left to go to Bible College, which was sooooo far away, I heard God tell me that I was going to be getting a new DIL.  I thought to myself, well it is a long time coming...lol....  But as we all know God is good to his word.  She is as beautiful inside as she is out.  Lizzy has the sweetest heart and a love for the Lord that just is so easy to see.  Below is a picture of Lizzy and David's wedding day.

Aren't they the most handsome couple?

Now this month my Son graduates from Bible College, I'm so happy that I am going to be able to see him walk across stage and see my Granddaughter Amelia for the first time.  Here is a few pictures of my Amelia, born on April 11, 2015.

I can't wait till next week when I can hold this beautiful little angel, oh and I should tell you that she was born with RED HAIR!!! yes red hair like her Daddy, and the skin tone of her Mommy....they say her eyes are also turning blue.

I've been crocheting for her like crazy, I won't share every thing but here are a few items I've made.
An outfit I made, I've also added another pair of slippers and mitts that aren't in the pic.
 Her reversible sweetheart blanket
 Two crowns for the princess

One of the set of bibs and sandals I've made for her.

Now about my Sweet Bella, she is so very smart and the cutest little girl.  My family is so blessed to have her in our lives.  I just have to share a few pics...I melt when she calls me Grandma Penny!!!!

I've been so very blessed this year, and I hope you enjoyed a glimpse into my life!

Drake, tracks, no training so must be in his blood

My grandpup Drake is just a little over a year old and is staying with us while his Human Daddy is in Colorado in Bible College.  He is such a sweet pup and very smart.  Yesterday we drug a wild hog foot around to see if he could track it.  I kept him in the house while they were doing it.  It is just natural for him.  This one video shows him tracking and it got cut off just as he found the foot on the porch...you go DRAKE, Grammy is so proud of you.

Got his nose to the ground searching for the wild pig foot we drug on the ground for him to track

31 years ago today my Son David was born!!!!!

Thirty-one years ago today my youngest son was born.  I was so lucky to get a beautiful redheaded baby boy that day.  He has been such a blessing too.

His first words weren't Mommy or Daddy, Oh NO it was "Ball" can you believe it?  BALL, he said it in the grocery store when he saw all the balls in the big cage.  Footballs, Soccer balls, Basketballs and Kick balls.  I was so excited that he spoke his first word that I bought him one of every kind of ball that was in the cage.  I didn't have much room for groceries after that.  From the pictures you can see his favorite ball turned out to be basketball.

He has always been a joy to me, his cute little freckled face and his pretty red hair.  His Daddy said he is handsome Penny not pretty!

2011 Birthday

Well as a baby he was pretty to me and as he grew he did turn into a very handsome young man.

I've watched his looks change, sometimes slowly and other times very quickly.  One time he is clean shaven, on his head and face, and the next time he has a full beard.

December 2011
I'm so glad that during his life time he has had a chance to do a lot of different things.

The only thing I've ever wanted for my children were for them to be healthy and happy.  I am so lucky that they both are.

So Happy Birthday David, I love you Son, you make me proud!!!!

My Son the Mountain Man

My son David is a redhead...well he used to have red hair...but his beard is still very red.  He came into this world as a redhead.  I thought while pregnant that I would have a redhead little girl and on the day of his birth, the Dr. said as he came into this world, "you have a redheaded baby boy, and he is peeing all over me!"....well from that day on, I had the cutest little redhead.  As he grew his hair color never changed.

These last few years he has shaved his head because even tho he was a hairy redhead, the hair on his head was thinning.  But the last year or so he decide to let his beard grow.  Now he can grow a beard in no time.  This picture is where his beard has only been growing for 8 months.

He started a new job and they required he shave his beard.  I just love this face...He says it is cold now...but isn't he cute?

Enjoyed the little bit of time I got to spend time with David while he was here last weekend from MI. He is coming back before he has to catch his plane on Sunday...hopefully I can get up out of the bed to spend more time with him before he leaves.....Hope to post pics after he leaves if I can get some this weekend...you really have to see his beard...amazing...
