Silly Drake
This Grandpup of mine is a little over a year old now and is full of energy. He surprises me everyday and just the other day he came into the house, grabbed my arm and started leading me outside. Now he is one that seems to try to talk to me and always wants to lead me somewhere. Well on this day be wanted me to follow him into the hay field. So away we went. When he got to the spot he was so excited about, I saw this very deep hole. We have a lot of red dirt in GA and this silly dog had dug a very deep hole. I am including a couple of pics and videos just so you can see it too. I never did figure out what he was digging for or hunting in the field for, but it was so much fun watching him.
Check out Drakes red face at the end of the video. I never figured out what he was after, but was so funny watching him dig and hunt.
This video is to also show how my little pup Oreo likes riding on the board on the Ranger, he and Drake both stand there when we go for rides. My BFF Megan made the board for Oreo to ride on, but now I have both of them enjoying it.
If I say the word RIDE they both come running, jump into the seat and stand on the board...it is one of the cutest things ever. If I am talking to Jim about taking the for a RIDE, I have to spell it if I don't want them to know, but I think they are learning to spell. Oreo is a Chihuahua that thinks he is a Black and Tan Hound like Drake...too funny..
When Oreo went to see what was in the hole, I had to keep him from getting in it, because it was deeper than he was long...

Grandpup Drake
Now we also added our Grandpup Drake, my youngest son was called to attend Bible College in Colorado so he had to leave his 8 month old black and tan hound with us. He misses him but Drake is doing good and boy oh boy he is so smart. He is a great dog to have around.

Oreo our new addition
Our two additions to our family. Oreo, I got in April of 2013 just one month before I lost my sweet Sara. Oreo is a black and white chihuahua, is was a year and a half old when he came to me. He had lived in an apartment since he was six weeks old with a cat. I was wondering how an apartment dog could live on the farm....but boy oh boy has he ever.....he now runs the place...
Oreo loves to drive the ranger, this was in June 2013
| Since he was raised with a cat...he sits on the back of the couch... |

Other crochet items
Here are more things I've done lately. I just love crocheting. It brings me peace. I know that it is a true gift from GOD!
I'm so thankful to my Momma for teaching me how to crochet! I am also thankful to so many others for teaching me advanced stitches. I've been blessed to have so many wonderful teachers.

More of my crafts, planter covers and dish towels and much more
Lately I have been trying my hand a different crochet projects I've never made before. A couple of them are Planter covers for pots. The first one I made was not to hard because the pot had straight sides but the second one had a lip on it which made it more challenging. But because of that it made it fun to do.
These pics below are the planter with the lip on it.

I've also made kitchen towels and dishcloths completely using cotton yarn. Seems the more I make the more I give away. Here are just a few.
This towel also has buttons on both sides along with bows that show when the side isn't buttoned.
Here is a towel where I just crocheted the top. Just like my Momma use to do. :)
As time goes on I will continue to add other projects.

My afghan of many colors, my Momma started for me!
My beautiful Momma
I haven't written in a while so thought it was time. My Momma went to heaven on Feb. 8th, 2006. I miss her everyday. After Momma passed my older brother Earl lived in her house till the day he went to be with Momma on Aug. 6th, 2010. Now my youngest son David lives in her house. She still has most of her sewing and other crafts in the house. Last month I went there and came home with a couple of bags of things, one being a big bag of yarn. As I was going through the bag, I came across a green crochet piece that Momma started before she became to sick to crochet anymore. So I decided to take all the small balls of yarn that I got along with a few full skeins she had and add them to the beginning row of the afghan she started. I was so excited to see how it would turn out. Here are the pics of my progress. I can't believe it only took me a week to complete. I am sitting here this morning with it wrapped around me. I feel her arms around me every time I use it.
